ART AT THE RENDON presents the multi-sensory event HIDDEN ROOMS. Curated by Cindy Schwarzstein of Cartwheel Art, this one day community celebration features over 85 renowned artists and performers who will transform the historic Rendon hotel, located in the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District, into a fully immersive art experience.
OVER 45 SITE-SPECIFIC INSTALLATIONS. Visitors will be able to explore the building, the rooms upstairs and the bar and lounge area on the ground floor, even the parking lot. Read below to see what is planned.

BENEFITING
Proceeds will benefit Institute of Contemporary Art Los Angeles – ICA LA and Artshare L.A.
The donation to ICA LA will benefit the museum’s learning program with Metropolitan High School.

In addition to the upper two levels of The Rendon, the ground floor and surrounding lot will be intervened by artists, creators and performers. Arranged by area:

DIVE BAR // The old corner Licha’s Bar and Grill, will be taken over by local breweries and distilleries: Angel City Brewery, Iron Triangle Brewing, and Greenbar Distillery with more TBA.

Eddie Donaldson of GuerillaOne will be creating an experience with an installation, showcasing old and new works dating back to their origins. ART ACTIVATION ROOM #2 // CALIFORNIA LOCOS will bring a linear diorama of LA subculture in their inside/outside conceptual presentation referencing early LA punk rock, psychedelic, graffiti, surf/skate and hot rod culture.
LOCOS Dave Tourje is bringing his “Nova Loco”, the 1000 horsepower rolling Locos museum along with surprise guests, including original LA punkers, Joe Baiza and Ralph Gorodetsky with their band the Mecolodiacs.
John Van Hamersveld will present an animated projection referencing his poster and Pinnacle rock legacy.
Gary Wong is set to reveal new work in symbols with the Reading: “An Ode To A- No. 1.”
OUTDOORS //
A lounge area designed and sponsored by Arts District local, Califia Farms.
