The Art At The Rendon: Art Residency provides artists with an inspiring and collaborative environment where they can create and engage with other artists, all while being immersed in the local cultural landscape. In appreciation of the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District’s rich history, we aspire to amplify education and the arts within the community.
While establishing our future permanent studio residency program, which will be housed at The Rendon Hotel, we are currently hosting artists in our office/studio space in DTLA. We aim to cultivate a space that allows creative risk-taking, community building, and growth.
Each residency is distinct, as we encourage artists to explicate their working practice and process so we can best interpret their needs.

PAST RESIDENCY
SUSAN FELDMAN
Art At The Rendon hosts MOC (My Own City): an installation by artist Susan Feldman of 50 unique buildings that represent a welcoming neighborhood in a utopian city. Created as a site-specific installation, these miniature structures (houses and various community buildings) are created mostly out of found wood with added embellishments to further define what they represent.
